About the TCG
Need some information about Lost before joining? No idea what a TCG even is? Here is the place where you can find out most of the answers to any questions you may have. Lost TCG is entirely centered upon the hit-ABC series, hence the name. If you do not watch the show, consider to start and immerse yourself in it's adventurous, mysterious, and VERY entertaining nature.

what's a tcg?
TCG stands for Trading Card Game. The point of the game is to collect certain "cards" from decks that you like in order to master it (having all the cards in the deck). If you end up with cards that you do not want, you can trade them off with other members in the TCG for ones that you would like to have instead. Unlike real TCGs, online TCGs, like Lost, use small images instead of concrete cards and playing is completly free and a great pastime. To participate in the TCG, you must have a valid website page for your trading post and an e-mail address.
NOTE: This online trading card game is in NO way, shape, or form associated with the actual Lost trading game created by Inkworks.

When you join, a starter pack containing a number of cards to start you off will be sent to your e-mail. In your starter pack for Lost, you will recieve:

  • 2 cards from your collecting/favored deck
  • 4 random normal cards
  • 1 special card (worth 2)
With these cards, you can divide them according to what you want to collect and what you want to trade. Once you've put them up on your site, or trading post, you are eligible to participate in all aspects of the TCG and trade away your cards. To trade, all you have to do is email a fellow member and ask them something in the lines of "Would you like to trade your (card wanted) for my (card giving away)?". Our TCG also has the handy forum tradeboard for you to use, located at The Radio Tower. Ask nicely when wishing to trade for someone's card - they do not have to trade with you. Please reply to all offered trades. If you never get a reply from someone you requested from, think of it as a no.
Do not take down your cards before you recieve a reply from a member you are trading with. Once a card is traded, make sure you take down the card - it is no longer yours.

your trading post
All members must have a trading post to play. Your trading post is a webpage listed with your cards and information. If you do not understand what you need to include as stated below, take a look at my tradepost. The following must be set up and visible to yourself and all members:
  • Collecting cards - These are are the cards from the decks you wish to collect. Please lable and identify each so that other members know what you want so they can trade with you.
  • Trading cards - These are the cards that you do not want and do not wish to collect. Members must see these so that they may be able to find any cards THEY would like from you.
  • Offered/pending trades cards - These are the cards being traded which are not finalized yet.
  • Level badge - These can be picked up here.
  • A link to Lost (http://dosibocs.net/lost) - This way, other people who are viewing your post can check out our TCG and join if they're interested! Don't forget to include a note on how they should label you as their referrer.
  • A trade log - This is a DETAILED log of how you got every one of your cards. Everytime you do something related to this TCG, note the date and what you did. For example, if you played "Before They Were Lost" on February 30, 2008 and won charlie01, put 02/30/08: Before They Were Lost - charlie01. Be sure that your trade log is in ascending order, meaning your most recent activity is noted first.

cards
Since this TCG has been opened for a while, there are a wide range of cards that Lost has. However, they all essentially have the same size, font, and look with minor changes to keep your posts neat. Below are the different types of cards that the TCG has and a few examples of them.
WORTH 0 - These cards do not count to your card count or worth. They include fillers, which are placeholders (cards you still need) for your collecting deck, and member cards, which are created and personalized by each member in the TCG. Member cards do, however, count towards trade counts and also can be found here.
WORTH 1 - The cards worth one are the regular cards which you can collect decks for. These include episode, cast member, character, relationship, and numerous other decks. They can be identified with a card name on the left bottom while card number on the right bottom. Puzzle cards made from blends and the like are also worth one. NOTICE: Whenever I state "+ (#) choice card(s)" in an e-mail or forum reply, I mean to take a card from this category.
WORTH 2 - Special cards worth two usually consist of scenes, member submittions, Lost-related categories such as merchandise, advertisements, opening eyes, and many more. Each deck contains a number of cards ranging from 10 to 15. They can be identified by having the card number at the top left and name centered on the bottom. The holiday deck is also worth two.
WORTH 3+ - The last category of cards at Lost are the super-special ones which are usually TCG-related. These decks include various event cards, layout cards, DHARMA logos for acceptance to the Initiative, and the birthday deck. Additionally, the well-esteemed and personalized First Master cards fit in this category - given out only when a member is the first to master a certain deck. These cards are very hard to get and are only given out at limited times.
